Summer essentials: Beach make-up and skin care
What's more beautiful than a weekend or a whole day spent on the beach sunbathing and enjoying the fresh sea water? We could very well consider it the cure-all for the hottest days. But what does your skin think? We certainly cannot ignore a fundamental point like this! If in the previous article we focused on summer essentials themed outfits for the sea, today I propose my makeup and skincare themed essentials for the beach! So sit back, prepare your favorite cold drink and take notes.
BEACH MAKEUP AND SKINCARE
One of the best pieces of advice I can give you is to always take care of your skin: whether it's winter or summer, self-care is a truly fundamental ritual!
BEAUTY ROUTINE UNDER THE SUN
In fact, my beach routine isn't that different from my daily one; considering a long day exposed to the sun, I try to maximize sun protection so as to keep my skin safe and avoid problems in the future. So never forget to bring your sun cream with you even if you have already applied it in the morning.
Attention! lips are also fundamental! Try to always have an SPF lip balm (Sun Protector Facturer) with you, so as to ensure complete protection.
My little secret: the warmth of summer days is suffocating, let alone when we are on the beach. I have my ally for a breath of fresh air, namely thermal water, easily available in pharmacies or makeup shops. Just spray on your face and body and the feeling of freshness will be immediate, making you feel more relaxed and satisfied, try it!
BEACH MAKE UP
As far as makeup is concerned, my advice is only one: that it be light and natural.
I know, tastes are tastes, and no one has the right to judge whether you prefer complete makeup for the beach, but let's always remember that, unless your makeups are magical and super resistant, it is better to opt for those waterproof and above all with a light texture, such as a bb cream, a cream blush to give color to the cheeks, a colored lip balm and a waterproof mascara, so so as not to weigh down the skin which will already be stressed by the external heat. Finally, to add a glowy touch, apply a cream or liquid highlighter on the cheekbones. The result will be simple, fresh but absolutely effective!
SKINCARE AFTER THE SUN
Here we are, just returned from a day spent at the seaside under the sun, our bones and our mind thank us for the boost of vitamin D and good mood, but what about our skin? The tanned effect will certainly be pleasant to see, but all this should not make us underestimate the level of stress to which the skin is subjected after exposure to the sun. What is the most correct thing to do to help her regenerate? I leave you with 2 small steps, quick but fundamental: a real routine that should never be underestimated.
REFRESH AND PURIFY THE SKIN
Whether you have decided to wear makeup or not, washing your face well is absolutely essential. After removing makeup, cleansing your skin with a good hydrating milk or a fresh gel will not only guarantee you an immediate feeling of cleanliness and freshness, but will also help you eliminate those traces that they 'pollute' your skin.
HYDRATION
When our skin is particularly exposed to the sun it loses its softness and brightness; after cleansing it is advisable to let our skin regain that fresh and clean tone, then proceed with your beauty routine by applying a repairing serum (or the one you use every day) eye contour and finally a creamthat is moisturizing and soothing. The fresh and satisfying effect will be immediate, and your skin will thank you!
In case of sunburn, don't worry, the damage is done but it is not irreparable if we try to be more careful in the future. Meanwhile, the ideal thing for irritated skin after exposure to the sun is to help it regenerate with suitable gels or creams based on aloe vera, calendula, chamomile or a repairing after-sun product with hydrating and soothing active ingredients, so as to reduce inflammation and protect the sensitivity of the skin.
HAIR CARE IN SUMMER
Our summer essentials can't be complete without including our hair!
Perhaps they are the ones we tend to underestimate the most when we go to the seaside, but in truth they too suffer all external aggressions: the sun's rays and the salt make them dry, fragile and dull. To prevent this from happening or, at least, to help our hair stay as healthy as possible, it is important to start your routine at home with just one simple product: a protective oil!
There are so many on the market, both for the sea and for the swimming pool, with a thousand scents and characteristics, in order to satisfy every need. The fundamental thing is that any oil you decide to buy must ensure SPF protection, so as to protect your hair as much as possible. Then, in addition to your beloved hat or bandana, apply the oil to your hair and especially to the ends, remembering to renew the application during the course of the day.
Once you return home it will be appropriate to complete this ritual. Wash your hair well so as to remove all traces of salt and then proceed with your shampoo (in these cases it would also be better to choose a soothing and delicate one, so as not to have an overly aggressive impact); then apply a nice hydrating and full-bodied mask, so as to prevent dryness and keep your hair shiny and soft, practically like new!
Well yes, this long list is complete, now you are ready to enjoy your summer without too many worries!
