Spring is back (hopefully!) and the time for ceremonies is back: how long we have waited for them! The mobile phone galleries will be filled with romantic and colorful shots, in dream locations and with equally dreamlike clothes: at least, hopefully this too!
From top to flop it's a short step, but fortunately there aren't many rules to keep in mind to avoid slipping up in style, although they are sacred. We will have the opportunity to review them together during this article in which, in addition to giving you some useful information on the 2023 ceremonies, we will take this opportunity to present you the new collection of one of the top elegant brands we have in the Khloè Femme catalogue: Fabiana Ferri!
Mistakes to avoid in your look
Are you the bride? No? And then don't even look at them white clothes, to put, ecru chiaro and anything that might lead the photographer to confusion, the real bride to look at you badly and the guests to point at you, albeit discreetly.
The “pointed out” effect is also triggered by other inappropriate choices:
- The red (if you really can't resist, go for more pink/orange coral shades, perhaps only present in the pattern or in the background of the dress, therefore more toned down);
- The viola (notoriously the color of bad luck, which you can replace with a wisteria or lavender, lighter, pastel and enjoyable);
- The black (but only during the day: a beautiful sheath dress with a stole still makes an impression, but only in the evening and with a few touches of color in the accessories).
Other things to leave at home:
- bags too big (if you are a mother, prepare two: a small one to match your outfit, one with the toiletry bag for the baby) and with linings of dubious taste such as straw, raffia, strange prints;
- wedge shoes, of any material (if you really can't stand heels, a low or wider heel or a flat jewel sandal is better than a wedge);
- clothes that are too short, too tight and leggings: Do we really need to comment? You're at a wedding, not a club!
Outfit for marriage 2023: invite the "vip"
And by VIP we mean: testimoni, sisters of the spouses, mother of the groom and, why not!, of the bride.
Without competing with the bride or mistaking the red carpet of the church or location for the Red Carpet of the Oscar ceremony, your task is to stand out from the other guests but without excesses and extravagance. Yes, that's right: yours is the most complicated outfit.
Where do we start? Shoulders covered especially in church, since you will always be in the front row (but Fabiana Ferri dresses all come with a stole precisely for this reason), and preferably also after the ceremony if it is the mother of one of the spouses. Or at least: no thin straps and off-shoulder necklines if you want to aim for a truly, truly impeccable outfit. And now, on with the proposals!
We are faced with an important dress, which we see well worn by a sister or a witness: showy in the right way, it brings together a coated fabric top which hugs the breast and ends with a drape at the waist and a long embroidered skirt which will test the photographer's ability to calibrate the flashes. The bronze color is a passe-par-tout: it's good during the day, it's good in the evening.
The gap is deep, but the skirt abundant and the important top they make them suitable for an outfit for the mother of the bride and groom, even more so for the groom. Similar in intent, they differ in detail. Both simple and luxurious, the first is embellished with a jewel belt at the waist, the second with an asymmetrical matching accessory. In both cases, you can replace the belt with, for example, a metal strap to give it your own personal touch, or remove it altogether. Do we like it for a witness? Yes, we also like it for a witness.
For a particularly young mother, who does not want a classic outfit but a more colorful and lively one, and in general for VIP guests, there is also this proposal which, abandoning the classic idea of rhinestones and organza, presents itself a little more daring. The protagonist is this embroidered top with a widely open back, combined with a floor-length one with a watercolor print: alternative but perfect, complete with stole and belt.
Extremely youthful and lively, both in the powder pink version with vertical ruffles, and in the coral version, with oblique ruffles that are repeated on the one-shoulder neckline. The effect is the "petalous" one of a flower around the silhouette, well shaped from the waistline, marked by a matching belt, up. Perhaps too bulky to appear next to the spouses in the important moment of signing, perfect for other VIP members of the ceremony: the sisters, who will also have to stand out from the crowd of bridesmaids and any witnesses.
Wedding outfit 2023: "normal" guests
That is, those that will not appear in at least 50% of the photos (official ones, though: what fun is there in going to a wedding without taking a few hundred selfies and photos all dressed up?). There is greater freedom of choice for you, even if the golden rules from before apply. Here are some ideas for your summer ceremonies.
In the cedro variant it can be enjoyed for both daytime and evening ceremonies, this long Fabiana Ferri dress is so elegant and so gentle on the silhouette, which gratifies without exaggeration. The mug neckline focuses attention on the breasts, but the back is the real discovery: entirely open, but easy to manage even for church ceremonies thanks to the presence of the matching stole (which you can replace with a shrug or something that still makes you feel at home ease). Tight but not too tight, wide and soft from the knees down: Perfect.
Version fuchsia, to marry the seasonal color trend, this garment gives you the monumentality of a dress but the practicality of trousers. Personalize it with a jewel belt at the waist and manage the sash around your neck as you like: it can become a bow on the back, or go around the nape of the neck and reappear from the front. Very important: adapt the height of the heel to the extreme length of this suit (or vice versa!).
As we have already said, black should only be chosen in the evening, and there is also another unwritten rule which it would be advisable to respect: if you really can't give it up (and that's why we're offering you a piece of it) let the cut be midi: neither long, which would almost be too bulky to look at, nor mini, which brings to mind a completely different type of circumstance. Extra tips? Color accessories to tone down the Addams tone of your outfit even more: white or colored sandals, combined with a clutch, and bright, albeit discreet, jewels.
